The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) is a leading institution of innovation and excellence within Nigeria’s educational landscape. FUTO Cut-off Mark for the 2025 Academic Session

During the 2023/2024 session, the general cut-off mark was set at 160. Prospective students must meet both the general cut-off and the specific departmental cut-off marks for their chosen courses.

- Computer Science
To study Computer Science at FUTO, applicants must achieve a minimum score of 210. Additionally, candidates need at least five credit passes in their O’Level results, including Mathematics and English. - Engineering Courses
FUTO’s engineering programs are highly competitive, with cut-off marks varying by discipline:- Materials & Metallurgical, Polymer & Textile, Agricultural Engineering: Minimum cut-off of 180
- Electrical and Mechanical Engineering: Minimum cut-off of 220
- Petroleum and Civil Engineering: Minimum cut-off of 210
- Medicine and Surgery
Candidates aiming for Medicine and Surgery must score at least 220 in their JAMB exams and have five O’Level credits in Mathematics, English, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. - Science Laboratory Technology
While FUTO does not offer a Medical Laboratory Science program, students can opt for Science Laboratory Technology, which requires a departmental cut-off mark of 180.
