UNILAG School of Foundation Studies Admission List for 2024/2025 Released

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) School of Foundation Studies (SFS) has officially published its Admission List for the 2024/2025 academic session. If you’ve been eagerly waiting for your results, the wait is over! Here’s what you need to know about the next steps.

Congratulations to the Successful Candidates!
Applicants who achieved a score of 40% or above in the School of Foundation Studies Entrance Examination have been granted provisional admission. If your name is on the list—congratulations! You’re now one step closer to beginning your academic journey at UNILAG.

 

Mandatory Screening Exercise for All Admitted Students

All admitted students are required to participate in a compulsory Screening Exercise, scheduled to take place from Wednesday, October 2 to Friday, October 4, 2024, at the Multipurpose Hall. The screening will be conducted daily between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Attendance is mandatory, as this process is a critical part of your admission.

Key Dates to Remember

  • Start of Lectures: Monday, October 7, 2024
  • Mandatory Orientation Program: Thursday, October 17, 2024

Preparing for the Screening Exercise

Follow these steps to ensure you are fully prepared:

  1. Access the Student Portal
    Visit the UNILAG Foundation Portal.
  2. Login Credentials
    Navigate to the “Student Page” and log in using:

    • Username: Your application number (e.g., M23323999)
    • Password: Your surname in lowercase (e.g., smith)
  3. Update Your Biodata
    Verify that your names are in the correct order (Surname, First Name, Other Name), consistent with your birth certificate, NIN, and “O” Level results. Print the updated Biodata Form for your records.
  4. For Children of UNILAG/LUTH Staff
    If you are a child of a current or retired UNILAG/LUTH staff member, visit the HRMD Office (2nd floor, Senate House) to update your biological status. Once updated, return to the portal to complete your Biodata update reflecting the staff tuition fee.
  5. Print Your Admission Letter
    After updating your Biodata, download and print your Provisional Admission Letter from the portal. Carefully review the terms in the Acceptance Letter. If you accept the conditions, proceed to generate the Pay Advice for the acceptance fee.
  6. Pay Acceptance and ID Card Fees
    • Make a payment of N28,500 for the acceptance and ID card fees via the university’s payment platform.
    • After payment, print and sign your Acceptance Letter, and prepare it for the screening.

Documents Required for the Screening

Please bring the following documents with you on the day of your screening:

  • NIN Slip
  • Offer of Admission Letter
  • Signed Acceptance Letter / Proof of Acceptance Fee Payment
  • Birth Certificate
  • Secondary School Testimonial
  • “O” Level Result
  • Reference Letter from a clergy member, imam, lawyer, or senior public servant
  • Original Copies and 2 Photocopies of all listed documents

What’s Next After Screening?

After completing your screening:

  1. Log back into the UNILAG Foundation Portal to generate your updated Pay Advice, which will now reflect your tuition fees.
  2. Tuition Fee Payment: You are required to pay at least 50% of your tuition fees before lectures commence. Use your Pay Advice to make the payment at the bank.

Lectures Are Starting Soon!

Classes will officially begin on Monday, October 7, 2024. Please ensure that all payments and necessary administrative steps are completed in advance. Lectures will be held daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., according to the published lecture timetable.
