Who Can Apply?
- First Choice Candidates:
If you selected Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, or any of its affiliate institutions as your first choice during the 2025 UTME and meet the required pass marks, you are eligible to apply. - Direct Entry Applicants:
If you hold an OND, HND, First Degree, or A-Level qualification in a relevant field, you are also eligible to apply for Direct Entry screening. - Didn’t Choose UNIZIK Initially?
No problem! Candidates who did not originally select UNIZIK but meet the required pass marks for their desired faculty can still apply. However, you must first visit a JAMB CBT centre to change your institution choice to UNIZIK.

Key Dates & Registration Process
The registration process for the 2025 academic year is yet to be announced. Below are the key dates from the previous cycle for your reference:
- Registration Opens: Thursday, 1st August 2024
- Registration Closes: Saturday, 31st August 2024
If you intend to change your course or institution to UNIZIK, note that the deadline for such changes is Friday, 23rd August 2024. Changes made after this date will not be accepted.
How to Apply for the UNIZIK Post-UTME/DE Screening
- Create a UNIZIK Application Account.
- Visit apply.unizik.edu.ng.
- Validate your JAMB registration number, and provide your LGA and UTME subject combination.
- Enter your email address, phone number, date of birth, and password to update your profile.
- Check your email for a verification code, enter it, and proceed to log in.
- Log in using your JAMB registration number or email address.
For Direct Entry Candidates
Please ensure that your academic transcripts are sent to: The Registrar, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, no later than Friday, 23rd August 2024. Additionally, submit hard copies of your JAMB slip, O’Level results, and OND/HND/First Degree or A’Level results to the Office of the Deputy Registrar (Admissions).
Important Reminders
- Editing O’Level Results: You may update your O’Level results during the registration period. However, once registration closes, your results will be locked and no further edits will be allowed.
- Applicants for Ineligible Courses: If your UTME subject combination does not meet the requirements for your chosen course, please select an alternative from the suggested eligible courses on your status page and visit a JAMB CBT centre to update your course accordingly.
