About the Federal Fire Service (FFS)
The Federal Fire Service (FFS) operates under the Ministry of Interior and is governed by the Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration, and Prisons Services Board (CDFIPB). The Board was originally established as the Customs, Immigration, and Prisons Services Board by Decree No. 14 of July 1986, with the Minister of Interior serving as its Chairman.

General Requirements for the 2025/2026 Federal Fire Service Recruitment
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a Nigerian citizen and reside in Nigeria
- Must be physically, mentally, and psychologically fit
- Must have no criminal record
- Computer literacy is an added advantage
- Age requirement: between 18 and 30 years
- Must possess a minimum of five (5) credits in no more than two sittings in WASSCE, NECO, or GCE – including compulsory credit in English Language
- Must exhibit good behavior and composure
- Minimum height: 1.65m for males and 1.60m for females
- Minimum chest measurement for males: 0.87m
- Willingness to work in different locations
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Team spirit and analytical skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must present a valid form of identification (e.g., National ID Card, Driver’s License, International Passport, or Voter’s Card)
- Must hold a B.Sc., HND, NCE, or OND from a recognized institution
- Applicants with a criminal background will not be considered
