General Requirements for NSCDC Recruitment 2025/2026

To be eligible for the 2025 Civil Defence recruitment, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must possess a valid means of identification (e.g., NIN)
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) credits in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB including English and Mathematics
  • Must have no previous or existing criminal record
  • Male applicants must be at least 1.67 meters tall; female applicants must be at least 1.64 meters tall
  • Male applicants must have a chest measurement of not less than 86 cm (34 inches)
  • Must be physically and mentally fit

Important Civil Defence Recruitment Update

According to Ekunola Gbenga, the Commandant General’s Media Assistant, the agency has received reports of fraudulent individuals extorting money from applicants under false recruitment promises. He stressed that no payment is required at any stage of the recruitment process and those caught engaging in such activities will face legal action.
